We welcome you to the Arctic Emergency Management Conference in Bodø/Bådåddjo/Buvvda!
Badge pick-up will be available at Hotel Scandic Havet in Bodø city center (Tollbugata 5) on Monday 17 March from 17:00-21:00. We recommend picking up your badge on Monday 17 March to avoid queues at the conference venue on 18 March.
Badge pick-up will also be available at the conference venue, Nord University Campus, starting on Tuesday 18 March at 8:30.
The conference takes place at Nord University campus, around 10 kilometers outside of Bodø city center. Shuttle buses for the conference will be available in the morning to bring participants to the conference venue, as well as in the afternoon after the conference program has concluded to bring participants to the city center. The shuttle service will be available on all three days and is free of charge. On day 3, there will be an option for the shuttle buses to drop off at the airport in addition to the city center.
The shuttle bus stops are in front of Hotels Radisson Blu and Scandic Havet. In the morning, the buses will leave for the conference venue at 8:10.
If you miss the shuttle, or have a different schedule, a regular city bus or taxi are other options to reach the campus. Bodø city buses 1 and 2 from the city center go to the university campus, please refer to the timetables at the Reis Nordland travel planner. The bus travel takes approximately 25-30min.

Bodø is situated just above the Arctic Circle in Northern Norwegian coast, and is known for windy conditions, as well as beautiful mountain surroundings, and as a gateway to the Lofoten archipelago.
March is winter season, and average temperatures range between a few Celsius degrees minus to few degrees plus, 2024 March average being 1.7°C.

The conference program is available online. Your badge will have a QR code for easy access to the program.
There is a possibility to tour two ships at the city harbor after the conference day on Wednesday. As the tours can’t accommodate everyone at once, the bus schedule is staggered according to the tour schedules. You will receive more information when you pick up your badge.
