Other important topics include youth engagement and how the Council can help further Permanent Participants’ involvement in Working Group project design and support their active participation in projects. On 29 January, the Chair of the Arctic Council Senior Arctic Officials (SAOC) held a meeting with the six Indigenous Peoples’ organizations that have Permanent Participant status in the Arctic Council. More than 20 participants representing the Council’s six Permanent Participants gathered for the hybrid meeting held in Tromsø, Norway and online on the margins of the Arctic Frontiers conference.
