Haparanda SAO Meeting Next Week November 8, 2012Sweden Next week 14-15 November more than 120 delegates from the Arctic Council Member States, Permanent Participants, and Working Groups will travel to Haparanda in Northern Sweden for the third Senior Arctic Officials’ meeting under the Swedish Chairmanship. Haparanda is located right on the border to Finland and demonstrates the special nature of cross-national exchange in northern Scandinavia. Transportation to the Meeting Delegates at the meeting should refer to the meeting page for the latest information regarding transportation from the Luleå and Kemi airports, as well as transport to and from the meeting venue in Haparanda during the meeting itself. Sight-Seeing of Haparanda The twin cities of HaparandaTornio have generously offered to host two guided bus tours for meeting delegates free of charge on Tuesday, November 13 and Thursday, November 15.
