The Arctic Youth Open Event is a special gathering designed as a key follow-up to the Arctic Youth Conference 2025 (AYC). This event aims to foster dialogue between Arctic youth, Senior Arctic Officials to the Arctic Council, and leaders of the Indigenous Peoples’ organizations that are Permanent Participants in the Arctic Council. It provides a platform for youth to put their skills in diplomacy, advocacy, and leadership into practice, while engaging in discussions that can shape which voices will be included in future Arctic governance.
The event will start with a panel debate on the topic of "Strengthening Youth Voices in Arctic Governance", followed by interactive round table discussions, where attendees can discuss pressing Arctic issues and their follow-up after the AYC with experts and representatives from the Arctic Council. The event will be followed by an informal reception.
